5G信道编码技术研究综述

信道编码是无线通信的重要组成部分,随着5G标准化工作的推进,3GPP将LDPC码和Polar码分别作为eMBB场景的数据传输和控制信息传输的信道编码方式,从而使信道编码迎来了新一轮讨论热潮。概述了信道编码的编码历程和5G应用的三大场景,讨论了3种候选信道编码(LDPC码、Polar码和Turbo码)技术的特点、实际应用中面临的问题以及它们在5G通信中的应用现状和未来的发展趋势。

Abstract:

Channel coding is an important part of wireless communications.With the development of the fifth generation standardization work,LDPC codes and polar codes are selected as candidate schemes for data channel and control channel of e MBB in the third generation partnership project(3GPP) respectively,which again raises a research upsurge on channel coding.In this paper,the development process of channel coding and three major scenarios of 5G communications are described first,then three candidate channel coding schemes(low-density parity-check codes,polar codes and Turbo codes) as well as their technical characteristics,challenges in practical system,recent developments and future works in 5G are discussed.
